Golfers swing with all their hearts in nonprofit's annual fundraiser

Popular golf tournament raises $125K for Hospice of the Chesapeake

After a remarkable fall day spent on the Queenstown Harbor Golf Course, 212 golfers and a long list of community sponsors participating in the Hospice of the Chesapeake’s 14th Annual Golf Tournament helped to raise more than $125,000 for the nonprofit that serves Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties.

Christine Wilson, Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Director of Advancement, thanked sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors and staff for their support. She also gave kudos to the members of the Golf Committee who work hard to make the Oct. 6 event a red-letter day for golf fans. Wilson said. “Through it all, they never lose sight of who we are doing this for: Our patients and families.”
