Here's What's Open, Closed In Anne Arundel County On July 4th

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD -- All Anne Arundel County government offices, local city offices, federal government offices, public libraries and schools will be closed in recognition of Independence Day, as are post offices. There will be no mail delivery on July 4 except for Express Mail. Most banks are closed and all courts are out of session in Maryland except for adult arraignments and new juvenile referrals.

Landfills and state department of transportation offices are closed. There won't be any curbside collections July 4 in Annapolis and all Waste Management Services facilities are closed. Curbside collections normally done on Thursday will be bumped to Friday and Friday's collection routes will be moved to Saturday, according to the City of Annapolis. The Millersville Landfill and Recycling Centers will reopen on Friday, July 5.

The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration will close all branch offices and VEIP stations July 4-5 in observance of Independence Day. Online services, 24-hour kiosks and self-service VEIP kiosks will be accessible to customers during the holiday closure.

Local liquor stores are open at the owner's discretion.
