Local Hula Group Needs Your Support

Ilima Hula Studio O Maryland needs your help! We have been given the opportunity to dance at the Opening Ceremonies for the Merrie Monarch Festival, known as the Olympics of hula, in Hilo, Hawaii this April. We may be the first East Coast hālau to perform at Merrie Monarch, and we want to represent Maryland! Although we are not competing, we are extremely honored to be invited to perform three exhibition dances on the most famous stage in hula.
Costumes, musicians and other related expenses are our largest group expenses. We have done some fundraising and are now in our final push to get our group on stage. We're going, no matter what, but would greatly appreciate a boost from our local community.
