Glen Burnie Man Arrested After Stabbing His Brother in Neck: Police

Incident occurred Thursday night during a family argument, say Anne Arundel police.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A local man is facing criminal charges stemming from a family argument Thursday in which he stabbed his brother in the neck, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The police arrested James William Tayman, 48, at his residence in the 300 block of Juneberry Way in Glen Burnie, a police report stated.

At 6:42 p.m. Thursday, police officers and paramedics responded to the report of a stabbing at the residence. They found the victim sitting on the living room floor, bleeding from a stab wound to the left side of his neck, according to the police report.

The victim was visiting family members at the home when he got into an argument with his brother, James Tayman, the police report said. During the argument, Tayman allegedly grabbed a knife and placed it against the victim’s neck, cutting him. He then fled the scene.

Officers went back to the residence at about 9:30 p.m. and saw Tayman's vehicle parked in the area, the police report said. They apprehended Tayman at the residence without incident.
