Man Sexually Assaults Child At Sleepover In Anne Arundel: Police

PASADENA, MD — On Thursday, police said they arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Pasadena. An incident report noted that the victim was friends with the suspect's own child. The assault happened when the victim visited for a sleepover, the write-up added.

The slumber party started on the evening of Nov. 20, 2020 and continued into the next morning, officers clarified. The report accused the man of supplying alcohol to the minors at the party.

After everybody went to bed, the accused man entered the room, took photos and sexually assaulted the victim, police alleged. Officers mentioned that the child got a ride home around 5 a.m. on Nov. 21, 2020.

The victim's mother reported the incident to police at the eastern district station on Nov. 23, 2020. Officers explained that they executed a search warrant at the accused man's home, located in the 700 block of 203rd Street, later that day.

Police added that they seized many digital devices as evidence. The victim underwent a forensic analysis, the write-up noted. Detectives informed that they corroborated the story with the minor's friends and family.

Officers worked with the Anne Arundel County States Attorney’s office to secure an arrest warrant, the report specified. Police said they eventually arrested the suspect, 53-year-old Scott Louis Williams.

Officers reported that Williams faces charges of:

• Third-degree sex offense
• Fourth-degree sex offense
• Second-degree assault
• Second-degree child abuse
• Sexual abuse of a minor
• Contributing to the condition of a child
