Naval Academy Band Pianist to Play at Galilee

The will host US Naval Academy Band pianist Todd Simon at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, according to a press release from the church.

As a part of Galilee’s Fine Art Series, Simon will play romantic tunes for the Valentine’s Day season, as well as melodies from Broadway shows.

At the Naval Academy, Simon also plays in the concert band, Next Wave jazz ensemble, Superintendent’s Combo and marching units. The Peabody Conservatory of Music graduate is also active in the local jazz scene.

The Galilee Fine Arts Series is presented as a service to the community. There is no admission charge, but freewill donations are accepted to help cover expenses.

A reception will follow the concert, providing opportunity for concertgoers to meet the artist.
