Pasadena Golf Course Employee Has Coronavirus, 2 Workers Exposed

An employee at Pasadena's Compass Pointe Golf Course has coronavirus, exposing two coworkers. Here is the latest from the health department.

PASADENA, MD — An employee at Pasadena's Compass Pointe Golf Course tested positive for coronavirus, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health said Friday. Though two other workers were exposed, the course will remain open.

The staffer last worked on July 12, but they were asymptomatic during that shift. The two coworkers are aware of their exposure and are quarantining for 14 days in case they were infected. Because the employees all worked outside, the Department of Health said the risk that golfers were also exposed is low.

Compass Pointe has followed all social distancing and safety protocols, the Department of Health said. Masks are required in all public places where its hard to stay 6 feet apart, including at golf courses.
