PASADENA, MD — A Pasadena man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, six counts of CDS possession and being a prohibited possessor. Gregory Richard Korwek, 40, of Pasadena turned himself in to the police Dec. 12 after the State's Attorney's Office filed charges against him for the Sept. 18 murder of Jeffrey Dickinson.

Korwek contacted the police and informed that that Dickinson, whom he called an acquaintance, had threatened to burn down Korwek's home and was on his way to Korwek's home riding a scooter. When officers arrived, Korwek informed them that he had shot Dickinson. Officers attempted to save Dickinson and called for medical assistance, but Dickinson died in the driveway.

During the course of their investigation, officers discovered more than dozen guns and related ammunition in Korwek's home. They also discovered cocaine, morphine, suboxone and marijuana in the home. Officers learned that Korwek owed Dickinson money and Dickinson had texted Korwek to inform him he would be going to his house unarmed. He also made no threats of violence, the police say.
