Pasadena Pedestrian Dies After Car Hits Him: Police

Police say he was walking along the shoulder of Mountain Road. The man was 31.

PASADENA, MD — Police say a car struck a pedestrian walking along the shoulder of Mountain Road on Sunday. Medics pronounced the man, who police identified as Adam Lee Natschke, dead on the scene. He was 31.

The accident happened around 5:45 p.m. when Pasadena man Michael Bryan Wentz was heading west on Mountain Road, according to an incident report. The writeup notes that as Wentz approached the intersection with Fairwood Drive, his SUV struck the pedestrian.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department says two children an one other adult were in the car at the time of the accident. None of the occupants were hurt.

Police did not specify a cause of the collision. Officers also did not mention how far into the shoulder the pedestrian was. The Traffic Safety Section is handling the investigation.
