Arrest Made In String Of Anne Arundel Robberies: Update

A Glen Burnie man has been charged with robberies at Pasadena, Waugh Chapel and 2 Glen Burnie businesses, according to police.

PASADENA, MD — A Glen Burnie man was charged Monday for a string of recent armed robberies at a Pasadena fast-food restaurant, two Glen Burnie cell phone shops, and the GNC store at Waugh Chapel. Anne Arundel County Police say that Keithran Charles Turner, 37, of Glen Burnie, has been charged with armed robbery, robbery and first-degree assault from the weekend hold-ups.

The robberies were reported are:

Pasadena: An employee at the Subway store, 2332 Mountain Road in Pasadena, told police the suspect came into the business with a handgun and demanded money on Saturday. The employee turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled. Officers searched the area with help from the police canine unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Glen Burnie: An armed robber came into the Metro PCS at 7553 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie about 6:47 p.m. Saturday. The suspect had a handgun, demanded money, took it and fled.

A day earlier, the same suspect likely held up the Metro PCS at 7499 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The robber was armed with a handgun, demanded money, and fled the store.

Crofton: A robber armed with a handgun held up the GNC store in the 1300 block of Main Chapel Way at Waugh Chapel about 2 p.m. Friday. Police say a man with a handgun entered the business and demanded cash from the employee and a customer. The robber then grabbed a purse from a woman who was a customer and fled.

The suspect was described as a man about 6'2" wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

In all four robberies the suspect is described as about 40 years old, and in the Pasadena and Glen Burnie incidents he wore a green shirt and dark-colored pants. No injuries were reported in any of the hold-ups.
