Police Chase Leads To Arrest; Shots Fired In Pasadena: Report

A suspect tried to speed away from police after shots were fired at a Pasadena home, a report said.

PASADENA, MD — Officers said shots were fired at a Pasadena home on Saturday. The incident led to a short police chase and two arrests, a writeup added. Officers did not list any injuries.

As police approached the scene in the 8300 block of Woodland Road around 4:20 p.m., they reported seeing a black Kia Optima leaving the area. The car stopped, hung a U-turn and tried to speed away, a press release informed.

An officer tried to stop the driver, but they would not pull over, a report explained. After a brief pursuit, the suspect pulled into a driveway where he was arrested, the account continued. Police mentioned that the driver had an open warrant for his arrest.

Officers shared that they searched the home where the shots were fired. The release indicated that police found several bullet casings outside the residence.

Police also wrote that they found two people inside an enclosed patio on the property. Officers allege that one of them had a loaded 45-caliber handgun tucked in his waistband, leading to his arrest.

  • 26-year-old Michael Carroll of Glen Burnie
  • 25-year-old Darrell Allen Miner Jr. of Pasadena

Officer did not divulge which crime each man is accused of.
