Police Seek Driver Of Crashed Stolen Car In Anne Arundel County

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is seeking information about the driver of a stolen car who crashed in Anne Arundel County.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Maryland Transportation Authority police are searching for the driver of a stolen car who crashed the vehicle in a shopping center parking lot along Cape St. Claire Road in Anne Arundel County. An officer spotted the vehicle that had been reported stolen at approximately 10:15 a.m. Thursday heading westbound on U.S. Route 50.

But before the officer could stop the vehicle, the driver exited onto Cape St. Claire Road and took off, according to the police. The vehicle was eventually found overturned after it had crashed into parked vehicles at a shopping center in the 1300 block of Cape St. Claire Road. None of the vehicles involved in the crash were occupied. The driver of the stolen vehicle fled the scene.
