Police Seize Gun, Drugs During Anne Arundel Traffic Stop: Report

Police said they found a loaded gun and drugs during a Severna Park traffic stop. Officers arrested the Glen Burnie suspect, a report added.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — Police said they made a weapon and drug arrest in Severna Park last Tuesday. Officers identified the suspect as 24-year-old Justin Karl Hilz of Glen Burnie.

An incident report noted that police pulled Hilz over around 7:48 p.m. on Ritchie Highway at Magothy Bridge Road. Officers explained that their exchange with Hilz led to his arrest and a search of his vehicle.

  • A black P80 semi-automatic 9mm gun with no serial number that was loaded with 10 bullets
  • A box with 100 rounds of Remington Viper .22lr ammunition
  • A suspected acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride pill

Officers indicated that they charged Hilz accordingly.
