Three Centuries of Silver in Annapolis: Creating, Collecting, Cherishing

Friday May 15th learn the history of Maryland silver and celebrate the silver anniversary of the Mitchell Gallery at St. John's College.

Learn about the fascinating role of silver objects in the history of our city, state, and nation—from the colonial era to American naval ships at sea. Be captivated by our all-day program featuring an exclusive U.S. Naval Academy Museum tour and buffet luncheon, afternoon illustrated talks about historic silver in Annapolis by noted experts, and a glittering Silver Tea and Wine Reception catered by Reynolds Tavern. All participants will receive the Mitchell Gallery St. John’s College Souvenir Program and Guide, which offers further information on where to see Annapolis silver in local collections.
