Assembly of God Church on Pleasantview Avenue Hosts Fellowship, Games, Food for Youth
While growing up in Ashland, Ky., I was active in my church's youth group. There are memories of playing pool, singing with other kids, going on a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn. and getting to know others my age who frequented the church.
The kids at Pasadena Assembly of God Church on Pleasantview Avenue do similar activities on Sunday nights during Youth Nights and at other times.
I had the gracious opportunity to come to a gathering of the youth last Sunday night.

The church was one of the easiest places to find since I started working in Pasadena, and the people there are some of the friendliest I have met in this area.
It was fun to photograph the children playing basketball and dodgeball.

It is always an honor for me to be permitted to photograph people during religious services.
The youth are led by Associate Pastor Glenn Magnusen, and the pastor is Philip Foster, whom I had the pleasure of meeting before I left the church.
The church offers marriage counseling and there is a quilt group. Family Night is held Wednesdays at 7, and it includes a nursery, girls' ministries group, Royal Rangers for boys, small groups and adult Bible study.
On Palm Sunday, April 17, there will be a service at 10 a.m.
