Lockdown Lifted At Severna Park Schools After Violence Threat
Several Anne Arundel County schools were locked down Tuesday before police deemed the threat to be non-credible, officials said.

SEVERNA PARK, MD — Several schools in the Severna Park area were placed on lockdown Tuesday as Anne Arundel County police investigated a threat of possible violence, according to authorities.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after 11 a.m. after police deemed the threat to be non-credible, according to an updated statement from Anne Arundel County school officials.
In a social media post shared Tuesday morning, school officials said Broadneck High School, Severna Park High School, Severna Park Middle School and Benfield Elementary School were placed on a hold status as police investigated the threat.

Police said there was no evidence of weapons inside the schools or on district property.
According to school officials, families wishing to pick up students may do so with proper identification.
