Woman Cut With Knife, Another Hit With Nightstand In Pasadena Struggle: Police

A woman was cut with a knife and another was hit with a nightstand in a Pasadena struggle, police said. Both women were arrested.

PASADENA, MD — A woman was cut with a knife and another was hit with a nightstand during a recent struggle in Pasadena, county police announced. Officers said they arrested both women.

Authorities said they went to the 7800 block of Willing Court around 2 a.m. Friday for a report of a 911 hang-up that just occurred.

Police said they got another call while en route reporting that a victim was stabbed.

The victim told officers that a female suspect attacked her while inside the home, a press release said.

Authorities said the victim also alleged that the suspect charged at her while wielding a knife.

Police said the victim suffered superficial injuries, which are minor wounds like cuts and scratches. She was not fully stabbed.

The suspect in turn alleged that the victim punched her repeatedly and hit her with the nightstand, officers said.

Authorities said these accusations and physical evidence led to charges against both women involved.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestees as:

  • 39-year-old Barbara Nicole Carter, who has no fixed address
  • 53-year-old Stephany Elaine Witt of Pasadena

Officers did not mention which woman is accused of the stabbing and which is accused of the punching and the nightstand assault.
