2 Baltimore City Schools Impacted By Flood, Officials Say

BREAKING: One Baltimore City school is opening late, while another is closed on Tuesday, May 29.

BALTIMORE, MD — One school in Baltimore City is closed and another is opening late on Tuesday, May 29. School officials attributed the closure and delay to flooding in the area.

North Bend Elementary School will be closed on Tuesday, May 29. Staff should report to the Professional Development Center.

Beechfield Elementary Middle School will be opening two hours late, according to Baltimore City Public Schools.

Both schools are located in the area of Frederick Avenue, where a section of the road is closed for cleanup from the flash flood over the weekend.

In nearby Catonsville, 10.38 inches of rain was reported on Sunday, according to preliminary data from the National Weather Service.
