The three girls who may have had indirect contact with a new coronavirus-infected person in New York were sent home early Wednesday, and the school reported it was in contact with the health departments in Baltimore City as well as Maryland and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They will not return to school until they have been cleared, according to WBAL.

Three people in Maryland tested positive for the virus, and they had contracted it while traveling overseas, Gov. Hogan said in a statement Thursday night. They are the first confirmed cases of the illness in the state, where officials say more than 30 people have met the criteria for testing.
