Baltimore City Closings For March 14 Snowstorm

BALTIMORE, MD — A snowstorm is expected to dump up to 4 inches of snow Tuesday in Baltimore.

Patch will be keeping an eye on school closings across the region for Tuesday, March 14, and will be updating this post with the latest information.

Tuesday, March 14

• Baltimore City Public Schools canceled classes on Tuesday, March 14. While schools will be closed, the district office will open two hours late; staff members should check their email for info about reporting.
• Curbside collections have been canceled for Tuesday, March 14. Makeup collections will take place on Saturday, March 18.
• Liberal leave is in effect for nonessential employees with Baltimore City government.
• Buses canceled: All Charm City Circulator and Harbor Connector services will be canceled on Tuesday, March 14, due to expected inclement weather conditions.
• The University of Baltimore will be closed on Tuesday, March 14. All classes and events, except the MSCHE site visit, are canceled. Essential personnel must report.
• Coppin State University is closed on Tuesday, March 14.
• Morgan State University has canceled all classes on Tuesday, March 14.
• Notre Dame of Maryland University is closed on Tuesday, March 14. Essential staff team A will report as scheduled.
• Enoch Pratt Free Library locations will be closed on Tuesday, March 14, for snow removal. In addition, the Listening Session scheduled for March 15 at the Pennsylvania Avenue Branch has been rescheduled for March 29.
• Jewish Community Centers will be closed on Tuesday, March 14, including the Federal Hill location.
• Johns Hopkins University has canceled daytime classes and will make a decision about evening classes Tuesday afternoon. Call the university weather emergency phone line 410-516-7781 and see the Johns Hopkins alerts page for more info.

Monday, March 13

Due to the expected snow storm, Monday's after-school programs and activities were required to end by 7 p.m. in Baltimore City Public Schools. Evening activities Monday were canceled.
