Baltimore Ravens Require Masks Inside M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens will require fans and staff to wear masks when they are inside the stadium this season.

BALTIMORE, MD — Regardless of vaccination status, ticketed fans who attend Ravens games will need to wear face coverings while they are in the indoor areas of M&T Bank Stadium.

The Ravens' first preseason game is Saturday, Aug. 14, at home against the New Orleans Saints.

On Friday, Aug. 13, the team announced new mask protocols for the upcoming season that the team said were designed to be in accordance with the Baltimore City COVID-19 mandates.

Where To Wear Masks

When fans are seated in the outdoor portion of M&T Bank Stadium, they will not need to wear face coverings.

That changes when people go indoors.

"All ticketed fans will be required to wear an approved face covering at all times when in an indoor area of M&T Bank Stadium, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking," the Ravens announced Friday.

Masks will be required at these locations: retail stores, restrooms, the Club Level concourse, elevators, corridors, suites, first aid rooms, Guest Service Locations and the Press Level.

While masks are mandatory on the Club Level concourse and inside suites, according to the Ravens' mask policy, face coverings will not be required on suite balconies in the Club Level seating bowl.

Who Wears Masks

Staff will be required to wear masks inside and outside.

Face coverings are required of all people at indoor portions of the stadium.

There is one exception: Children who are 2 years old and under do not need to wear masks.

Penalties Are Possible

Here are the penalties for not wearing masks, according to the Ravens:

  • Guests who refuse to wear a mask will first receive a warning.
  • Second-time offenders will be removed from the stadium.

"The health and safety of our fans will remain our organization's top priority," the Ravens said in a statement Friday, Aug. 13. "To maintain a safe gameday experience, our close collaboration with health experts and state and local government officials will continue."
