Boyfriend Charged In Murder Of Missing Woman Found In Park: Police
BREAKING: Police said the man previously considered a person of interest in the death of Tonja Chadwick was officially charged.
BALTIMORE, MD — The man whose girlfriend was found deceased a week ago in a southwest Baltimore park has been charged in her death, according to officials. Marco Holmes, 22, has been charged with first and second-degree murder, the Baltimore Police Department reported Thursday morning.
Holmes was taken into custody on Wednesday for an alleged violation of probation.
He had been considered a person of interest in the case of Tonja Chadwick, who was reported missing after she disappeared Saturday, Jan. 28; police said her body was discovered in Daisy Park on Thursday, Feb. 2, after numerous tips from the community.

According to police, Holmes and Chadwick were involved in an argument before her death. She was found wrapped in bedding in a wooded area with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Holmes was charged with first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, using a handgun to commit a felony, having a handgun in his vehicle and having a handgun on his person, according to police.
