January 24, 2026 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is reporting today is the last-day of dining service for The Cheesecake Factory at the Inner Harbor.
The restaurant opened in the Spring/Summer of 1996. The Baltimore Ravens were preparing for their Inaugural-season in Charm City. Cal Ripken was passing New York Yankees Great Lou Gehrig with his Iconic "Streak of 2131". The '96 Summer Olympics were held in Atlanta with Boxing Icon Muhammad Ali lighting the torch at the Opening Ceremony, with millions of Americans crying at the courage of "The Greatest".
Michael Jordan and his Bulls were the defending NBA Champs, they were getting ready for another 3-Peat Run (1996-98). Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States. Wow, how time flies. Now 30-years later one of the main anchors of dining at the Baltimore Inner Harbor is closing for good. What a great run, fun times, a lot of cheesecake, plates of pasta, burgers, sandwiches etc...
The 2 Pavilions that opened on July 2, 1980 introduced a new-era to the city as an attraction for tourists and locals looking to enjoy the energy and spirit of a New Baltimore with its Convention Center, Aquarium, Science Center and World Trade Center. Now it's time to reimagine New Baltimore 2.0. The memories of yesteryear will be remembered and one of those memories will be of the 30-years that The Cheesecake Factory was here in Charm City.
The Baltimore Colts were in Baltimore for 31-seasons and 30-years 1953-83. They left for Indianapolis on March 28, 1984. They like The Cheesecake Factory will always be remembered for their time in Charm City!
