City of Baltimore: Rematch '26 NBA Finals & NFL Super Bowl Winners Knicks & Seahawks, USA 250th

The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is reporting the NY Knicks & Seattle Seahawks will have a forever footnote-link for the 250th Anniversary-year of the Declaration of Independence. 

In a span of 125-days between February 8th to June 13, 2026 the Seahawks and NY Knicks became Super Bowl & NBA Finals Champions. (2-teams)125 X 2 = 250. This coming July 4th will be the USA's 250th (1776-2026). 

The Knicks & Seahawks faced and defeated a familiar foe to win their NBA Finals www.nba.com & Super Bowl LX (60) Championships www.nfl.com. The NY Knicks (4-1) ended a 53-year drought and won the 2026 NBA Finals beating the San Antonio Spurs in 5-Games. Their Game-4 victory was one for the ages, down 29-points New York came-back and won 107-106. It was the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history. 

Back in 1999 the Knicks met the Spurs in the NBA Finals. San Antonio led by young superstar PF, Tim Duncan beat NY (4-1) in 5-Games. The '26 Knicks won vs the Spurs in the same 5-Games. The repeat matchup was upstaged by the 53-year wait for another NYK NBA Championship. 

When the Knicks last won an NBA Chip before three-days ago in 1973 their playoff-run began with a 4-1 Eastern Conference semifinal win vs the then Baltimore Bullets. The 5-Game series loss was the last-time the team would be known as the Baltimore Bullets. For the 1973-74 campaign they were known as the Capital Bullets and the next year (1974-75) would be named the Washington Bullets, a name they carried until 1997 when they would become the current Washington Wizards.  

The Seattle Seahawks, like the NY Knicks, faced a team that they had previously met in the Super Bowl. It was a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX (49). SB49 Tom Brady and his New England Patriots beat Seattle 28-24. One of the most-remembered plays in Super Bowl history, the Seahawks were driving all the way to the 1-yard line. It was 2nd down and goal, Seattle's QB Russell Wilson threw a pass instead of running the ball. It was intercepted by Malcolm Butler and the Patriots won. 

Now 11-years later in the rematch at Super Bowl LX (60) Seattle was more dominant and defeated a game-young Patriots 29-13. New England was outmatched by a Seattle defensive juggernaut. NYK star-guard Jalen Brunson wears the #11. Jalen was named the '26 NBA Finals MVP. 

The Knicks & Seahawks Championship victories in rematches in '26 will be a forever footnote to America's 250th. Back in 1976 when USA celebrated its 200th the Seattle Seahawks were one of the two expansion teams for the NFL. The other was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady ended his GOAT career with the Bucs. Brady won his last of 7 Super Bowls with Tampa Bay when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LX (55) 31-9.
