How To Help Victims Of 3-Alarm Fire In Northwest Baltimore
Several victims were released from the hospital after a fire on Virginia Avenue, Baltimore fire officials say.
BALTIMORE, MD — Three people were released from the hospital following a Sunday night house fire in northwest Baltimore that injured and hospitalized five people, officials said.
One adult and two children have been discharged after receiving treatment, the Baltimore Fire Department reported Monday. Two others are still hospitalized in stable condition, officials said.
The blaze broke out in the 2800 block of Virginia Avenue Sunday night, Baltimore fire officials said.

Initially, authorities reported five people were hospitalized in serious condition, including two children.
Those injured in the three-alarm blaze included the following, according to Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott:

- 3-year-old boy
- 4-year-old boy
- 44-year-old man
- 45-year-old man
- Pregnant woman whose age was unknown
According to Scott, Red Cross and city officials are working to provide the victims with resources. He said seven people were displaced in addition to the five who were injured.
Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the blaze, and the cause remains under investigation.
How To Help Fire Victims
Baltimore's Department of Housing and Community Development will be distributing and collecting donations for those affected by Sunday's fire.
People can donate the following items — only new items and those on this list will be accepted — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edgecombe Circle Elementary School cafeteria:
- Blankets
- Water
- Large black trash bags
- PPE items (hand sanitizer, masks, thermometers, gloves, face shields)
- Coats:
- Female — Medium
- Male — Large
- Male — X-Large
- Girls — 11-13 years old size small
- Boys — Size 6
Donations will be available for pickup from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday for those residents directly impacted by the fire.
Items will be at the Edgecombe Circle Elementary School cafeteria at 835 Virginia Avenue in Baltimore.
