MD Under High Wind Warning With 55 MPH Gusts Friday Morning
Parts of Maryland are under a high wind warning Friday with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
MARYLAND — Wind gusts up to 55 miles per hour are likely across parts of Maryland Friday morning with the Baltimore region under a high wind warning.
The National Weather Service issued the warning until 10 a.m. on Friday. Residents of D.C., Virginia and parts of Maryland can expect winds of 20 t0 30 mph moving south to southwest through the region. Gusts of up to 50 mph are also expected.
After 3 a.m. on Friday, winds will begin heading toward the northwest, as they follow a cold front that is expected to bring lower temperatures to the region, according to NWS.

The overnight low on Friday night will be in the upper 20s as temperatures drop throughout the day.
"Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," the weather service said.

Residents are warned to use caution while driving during heavy winds and secure any loose items that may be blown away by a sudden gust.
The high wind warning includes: Washington, D.C., Frederick, and Carroll, Baltimore, Cecil, Anne Arundel, Howard and Harford counties.
The cities of Hagerstown, Frederick, Ballenger Creek, Eldersburg, Westminster, Reisterstown, Cockeysville, Elkton, Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Severn, South Gate, Severna Park, Arnold, Odenton, Lisbon, Columbia, Ellicott City, Jarrettsville, and Aberdeen.
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Prince George's, Charles, St. Marys, Calvert and Montgomery counties.

Friday: Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 41 by 5pm. Windy, with a northwest wind 23 to 28 mph decreasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Saturday: A slight chance of snow showers after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 46. Breezy, with a southwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 11 to 16 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 41. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 31.
Washington's Birthday: Sunny, with a high near 55.
Monday Night: A chance of rain after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
