Baltimore County jewelry store hit by $200,000 burglary (wbaltv.com) — A family-owned jewelry store on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore County lost about $200,000 in uninsured inventory when two thieves smashed their way in early Saturday and emptied display cases. The longtime shop, already hit by past closures and flooding, is now working to repair damage, restock, and reopen as neighboring businesses call for stronger security in the area.

Baltimore County officer shot in Pikesville leaves rehab (wbal.com) — A Baltimore County police officer shot in the head while responding to a call on the Gwynns Falls Trail in Pikesville has been released from rehab after two months of intensive treatment. Greeted by cheering supporters at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute, Officer P. Catalfamo is eager to return to duty as the suspect remains jailed on attempted murder charges.
