Road Closures Around War Memorial for Mayoral Inauguration: Baltimore City Transportation
Drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes in Baltimore to avoid inauguration-related closures.

BALTIMORE, MD — Road closures are in effect downtown for the inauguration of Mayor-Elect Catherine Pugh, and they will remain through early Tuesday afternoon.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the War Memorial Building.
The following detours and parking restrictions are in effect, Baltimore Department of Transportation advised.

- Lexington Street from Gay to N. Frederick Street, closed from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- I-83 southbound exit onto Fayette Street, closed 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Fayette Street from President Street to Guilford Avenue; vehicles traveling west on Fayette will be detoured left or right onto President Street from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Gay Street from Baltimore to Saratoga Streets, closed 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Northbound Holliday Street must turn right on Fayette Street; no right turns from Holliday Street onto Fayette Street, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Vehicles will not be permitted to turn onto eastbound Saratoga Street at Gay Street, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Inauguration attendees and monthly parking members of the 510 E. Lexington Street garage will be permitted to pass through the event checkpoint — Lexington Street between Gay Street and N. Frederick Street —until 10:45 a.m., at which time the checkpoint will close to all traffic, transportation officials said.
Vehicles parked in the Lexington Street garage will not be able to exit the facility until after the inauguration ceremony, which is anticipated to end at approximately noon.

Parking restrictions will be implemented along roadways in the immediate vicinity of City Hall and the War Memorial Building. Citizens should adhere to all posted parking restrictions.
