Road Rage-Fueled I-895 Gunman Charged With Attempted Murder: Cops
Police allege an angry driver pulled a gun on two different drivers in one day on two Maryland highways due to road rage.

BALTIMORE, MD — After a man was shot and injured while driving on Interstate 895, police say the gunman has been charged with attempted murder. Officials also reported the suspect pulled a gun on another driver that same day on Interstate 95 in Howard County.
Jamal Norton, of the 800 block of Cinnamon Ridge Place in Baltimore County, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and nine related charges in the road rage incident on I-895 on Aug. 6, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
He is also charged with first-degree assault in the incident on I-95 in Howard County, police reported.

The I-895 shooting happened near Potee Street in Baltimore City, where a driver was shot and taken to an area hospital for treatment, officials said. Police reported he was released that night from the hospital.
Investigators said they learned state troopers were also summoned to I-95 in Howard County, where another driver said a motorist had pointed a gun at him.

Norton was the suspect in both cases, which happened consecutively while he was in the same vehicle, authorities said, based on the joint investigation between Maryland State Police and the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Norton is being held without bail, police said.
