Tree Falls Near Milford Mill Metro Station
A tree fell on the metro tracks and more than 3,500 lost power in Baltimore after a storm Monday evening.
BALTIMORE, MD — A tree has fallen in the tracks near the Milford Mill station during the Monday evening commute. Bus service is being provided, the Maryland Transit Administration reported at 5:15 p.m. Monday.
Baltimore was under a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:30 p.m. for thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 60 mph. The National Weather Service warned that trees could fall due to the strong winds and localized power outages were possible.
In fact, trees did fall in the Milford Mill, Pikesville and Towson areas, according to officials.

And as of 6:30 p.m.,
More than 3,800 BGE customers were without power as of 6:30 p.m. in Baltimore City, according to the utility company's outage map.

Because of the downed tree near the Milford Mill metro station, the track area was blocked, causing delays on the Metro SubwayLink, officials said.
Shuttle buses will accommodate passengers between the Reisterstown Plaza and Old Court stations until the issue is resolved.
