Fort McHenry Tunnel Reopens After Vehicle Fire, Inspection:MDTA
There were major delays on I-95 south after a vehicle burst into flames in the Fort McHenry Tunnel.

BALTIMORE, MD — For more than three hours, part of the Fort McHenry Tunnel was closed as crews cleaned up a vehicle fire. The incident snarled traffic for those headed south on Interstate 95 during the morning rush.
Officials said the fire involved one vehicle on I-95 south near mile post 54.8 in bore 2 of the tunnel. It was reported around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
A commuter who was in the tunnel shared video of the fire on Twitter, showing what appeared to be a work truck with flames shooting up from the front of the vehicle.

Earlier, the left tube was closed while officials handled the vehicle fire inside. Traffic was getting by in two lanes rather than four during the cleanup from the incident. By 8:15 a.m., authorities said delays on I-95 south extended to the US 40 exit.
Northbound I-95 was not impacted.
