Worker Hospitalized After Being Trapped In Storm Drain: BCFD

BALTIMORE — A Baltimore City Department of Transportation employee was trapped in a storm drain Monday afternoon, according to officials. There was an apparent collapse that drew first responders to the scene, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.

The storm drain was located on Howard at Pratt streets, officials reported.

The worker was taken to the hospital for treatment, the fire department said.

"We will remain on scene until area is safe," the Baltimore City Fire Department said in a statement after 7 p.m. on Monday, July 8.
