5-Acre Field Fire Broke Out in Fallston: Officials
Crews from Harford, Baltimore counties worked Sunday to contain the blaze.

Firefighters spent hours Sunday afternoon working to extinguish 5 acres of woods on fire, officials said.
Crews were at the scene from approximately 3 to 5:30 p.m., according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
The fire was located near in the 2700 block of Reckord Road under BGE power lines, said Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Crews from both Harford and Baltimore county responded, as did the Department of Natural Resources, according to Gardiner. Joppa-Magnolia, Bel Air, Fallston, Whiteford and Kingsville were reportedly among the fire companies at the scene.
The blaze extended into Gunpowder Falls State Park, the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company reported.

Reckord Road was shut down between Belair Road and Whitt Road during the firefighting operations, according to the report.
The Department of Natural Resources was reportedly investigating the fire.
