Mulch Fire Caused $50K in Damage in Forest Hill, Officials Say

The fire broke out Saturday afternoon.

A fire that started outside a Forest Hill home Saturday was quickly contained, but not before it caused thousands of dollars in damage, officials said.

At 2:12 p.m., crews responded to the 1900 block of Munsey Drive, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Members of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company contained the blaze to the exterior of the home, Gardiner said.
