The Arc NRC Recognizes Arc Angels For Successes, Compassion

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region has 12 Arc Angels nominated for furthering The Arc NCR’s mission, which is "empowering people with differing abilities to live, work and thrive in the community."

One of the Arc Angels is Jasmine, who lived with a foster family in Harford County until she reached adulthood and transitioned to a group home run by The Arc NCR’s Community Living program. Her new roommate, Carla, welcomed her with open arms according to The ARC NCR, and Jasmine describes them as “besties.” They often go shopping at the mall, enjoy playing games and decorated the Christmas tree together.

Jasmine also is learning new employment skills in the hopes of finding a job that will be a good fit for her and her employer, according to The Arc NCR.
