Attempted Murder Suspect at Large: Sheriff

Anyone who sees Mark Anthony Turner, suspect in a double stabbing in Abingdon Saturday, is asked to call 911.

A man wanted for attempted murder is on the loose, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark Anthony Turner, 49, is wanted for attempted murder in connection with the Saturday morning stabbing of two men in Abingdon, the sheriff’s office reported.

Authorities said that the suspect knew the victims and had been staying in a house with them in the 3600 block of B&O Road in Abingdon.

Deputies responded to the residence after one of the victims called 911 and reported a stabbing, according to Harford County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cristie Kahler.

The 911 call was received at 7:02 a.m. and deputies arrived one minute later, immediately rendering aid to the stabbing victims until medics arrived, the sheriff’s office reported.

Both victims were taken by medevac to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where one was in critical condition Saturday afternoon, the sheriff’s office reported.

Deputies canvassed the area around the Abingdon house but did not find the suspect, the sheriff’s office reported.

Anyone who has seen Mark Anthony Turner or knows where he is should call 911.
