Bel Air Businessman Wins $50K Playing Scratch-Offs
A Bel Air man says his commute will be less anxiety-driven now that he has extra cash toward opening his new business venture.

BEL AIR, MD — A Bel Air entrepreneur got a boost toward his new Baltimore business thanks to the Maryland Lottery. The man said he was taking care of some logistics related to opening a business last week. He had to take a number at the agency where he was waiting at Reisterstown Road Plaza.
Realizing he was at the end of a long line, he walked around the shopping center. The 38-year-old, who plays the lottery once a month, went into Mall Spirits and picked up several lottery cards.
Of the five or six 50x The Cash Game tickets he purchased, he scratched off one and saw that he was a big winner; since he did not want anyone around him to know, he waited to scratch off the rest until he returned home to Bel Air Friday evening.

"When I showed them the ticket, they started dancing," he said.
Previously, the winner says he had spent much of his commute from Bel Air to Baltimore worrying about finances as he enters into his new business venture.
"This $50,000 will make a huge difference for my family," the Bel Air man told lottery officials, " for our peace of mind."
