Bel Air Girl Dressed as Maleficent Wins Festival's Costume Contest

Children in Bel Air got a trial run for their costumes before Halloween when the Festival at Bel Air presented its 29th annual Halloween parade and costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Sophia Mackinnon of Bel Air, dressed as Maleficent, won the costume contest, according to Festival at Bel Air. She received a gift certificate, Festival reported.

This is not the first time Mackinnon was recognized for her Halloween garb.

Last year, she won second place at the Festival costume contest in Bel Air and was fourth at the Havre de Grace competition for her Minion outfit inspired by Despicable Me.
