Bel Air VFC Collecting Donations For Hurricane Harvey Victims
People can help the flood victims in Texas through a donation drive in Bel Air.

BEL AIR, MD - The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company is collecting items for the people of Houston, Texas, who are impacted by the floods resulting from Harvey.
Hurricane Harvey has been linked to 15 deaths in Texas since it first made landfall Friday as a Category 4 storm. Among those who died was a Houston police officer who drowned in his patrol car.
Some parts of Houston received more than 50 inches of rain, the amount the city usually receives in one year. Schools have closed and many hospitals have been evacuated. After neighborhoods turned into waterways, calls poured in for rescues, and "mega shelters" were set to open Tuesday to accommodate the thousands forced to evacuate.
