BEL AIR, MD — After vandalism to a Biden-Harris campaign sign and theft of Trump-Pence signage, the Harford County Sheriff's Office is reminding people there are limits between self expression and criminal activity.

It is a crime to vandalize, steal or destroy another person's property, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

"Our Great Nation was founded on principles of freedom. Those freedoms are what set our Country apart from the rest – including the Right to Vote and the Freedom of Speech," the sheriff's office said in a statement on Tuesday. "As we move closer the Presidential Election, remember that your Freedom of Speech does not extend to committing criminal acts. It is a CRIME to vandalize, steal, or destroy other people’s property."
