Constant Friendship Crash Leaves Pedestrian in Serious Condition: Officials

Police said the man was airlifted after being hit in a parking lot.

A man was in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night while walking in Abingdon, officials said.

At 6:41 p.m. on Thursday, the 28-year-old man was near the Constant Friendship shopping center when he was struck, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

He was hit by a Dodge Neon while walking in the parking lot, according to Pfc. Shanks of the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack.

A Maryland State Police helicopter took him to a regional trauma center, officials said. He had serious injuries, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Charges may be filed, according to Shanks, who said he could not elaborate, citing the ongoing investigation.
