See the full schedule for the 2016 Darlington Apple Festival, which is planned for Oct. 1.

DARLINGTON, MD — This weekend marks the annual Darlington Apple Festival, which occurs the first Saturday of October. Started in 1986 as a way to bring together the community for a fall festival, the event draws thousands each year to Darlington for live music, family activities, festival food, local vendors and of course, apples. In 2015, the festival was canceled due to the forecast, which organizers said was "one of the toughest decisions the Darlington Apple Festival Committee has ever made; here's to wishing that decision will never have to be made again!"
The 2016 Darlington Apple Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
