Devon Scott Arrested Out Of State: Harford Sheriff

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Authorities say a man wanted in connection with a carjacking and attempted carjacking in Edgewood as well as at least two rapes has been arrested.

Devon Allen Odell Scott, 36, who has an address in Edgewood, was taken into custody in Virginia earlier today, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.

"The details of his arrest are still evolving, and we will have more information to release Thursday," according to a statement from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. "However, we wanted to let our community know this danger to public safety is off the streets!"

Law enforcement officials obtained a warrant for Scott's arrest initially in connection with Saturday's armed carjacking and attempted carjacking outside the Edgewood Food Lion, officials reported Sunday afternoon. Since then, Scott was linked to sexual assault cases as well, according to the sheriff's office.

News of Scott's arrest came hours after the sheriff's office shared his photo as part of its "Wanted Wednesday" feature.
