Maryland Natural Resources Police was conducting search-and-rescue exercise, Harford County Sheriff's Office reports.

Multiple first responders conducted a search at Otter Point Creek on a cold, rainy Tuesday afternoon chasing down a tip from a K-9, Harford County officials reported.

Officers with the Maryland Natural Resource Police were conducting a search-and-rescue training Tuesday in Harford County when one of the K-9 officers participating in the exercise “showed interest in a particular location,” according to Cristie Kahler, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Abingdon Fire Company, Harford County Technical Rescue Team and Harford County Sheriff’s Office assisted in following up on the information, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
