Police ID Man Who Died At Rocks State Park
A Howard County man died when he fell from King and Queen Seat, according to Maryland Natural Resources Police.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Officials said one person died Monday in Rocks State Park. He slipped and fell while he was out with his friends, according to authorities.
Joseph Buxton, 22, from Savage was pronounced deceased when officers were called at 10:41 a.m. for a report of an injured person, Maryland Natural Resources Police said in a statement.
Buxton had climbed out onto the rocks when he lost his footing and fell from King and Queen Seat, according to authorities. King and Queen Seat is a scenic rocky outcropping about 190 feet above Deer Creek.

Officials said Buxton's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
A man died in a fall at King and Queen Seat in Rocks State Park in June 2018, and another person died there in July 2015 in what was believed to be a suicide.
