First responders were called to Abingdon Elementary School Wednesday afternoon to investigate a report of smoke in the building, according to officials.
Before 3 p.m., Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company authorities reported they were headed to the school in the 300 block of Singer Road to assist Abingdon Fire Company in the investigation.
