One Injured in Forest Hill House Fire: Bel Air VFC

Disaster assistance was summoned to assist two people impacted by the house fire, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reports.

FOREST HILL, MD — One person was treated for a minor injury and two people were receiving disaster assistance after a house fire in Forest Hill Monday night, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews from Bel Air and Jarrettsville responded to the report of a house ablaze and found smoke showing from the back of a residence in the 2400 block of Dixie Lane, Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported.

Approximately 35 firefighters helped battle the fire, and by 7 p.m., it was declared under control, Gardiner said.

Firefighters were clearing the scene before 7:30 p.m.

One person was treated for a minor injury on the premises but declined to be taken for further medical evaluation, according to Gardiner.
