James Warren Hamilton Sr., 82, Former Owner Of Bel Air Bakery
The former owner of the Bel Air Bakery passed away this week.

James Warren Hamilton Sr., 82, of Aberdeen, passed away on Dec. 15 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Hamilton owned and operated the Bel Air Bakery for 63 years.
Born in Churchville, he was the son of Warren Hamilton and Dorothy (Plummer) Loux.
He is survived by his wife, Rose (Vincenti) Hamilton, of Aberdeen, as well as son James Warren Hamilton Jr. and daughter-in-law Kris (Petty) Hamilton; grandchildren James Warren Hamilton III and Shelby Danielle Hamilton; and sisters Patricia Potter and Donna Jean Scotten.

A businessman and community leader, Hamilton was known for helping to revitalize Bond Street in Bel Air, according to his obituary. The bakery, which opened in 1954, had its final day in business on Christmas Eve 2015. The Hamiltons closed up shop, they said, to spend more time with their family.
Visitation will be 1–4 p.m. and –9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at McComas Funeral Home, 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014.

A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at McComas Funeral Home in Bel Air.
