John Carroll Highlighted For President George H.W. Bush Tribute
The John Carroll School was in the spotlight this week for how it paid homage to President George H. W. Bush.

BEL AIR, MD — One school in Bel Air made national news this week for its socks. The John Carroll School was featured in an article by Fox News about tributes to the late President George H. W. Bush.
The school in Bel Air snapped a pic of some feet on campus on Wednesday, Dec. 5, which was declared a national day of mourning, tweeting that the John Carroll community was "wearing fun and creative socks in honor of President Bush, who often wore colorful socks later in life."

Bush, who served as the nation's 41st president, was in office from 1989 to 1992. He died Nov. 30 at the age of 94.
When he was laid to rest in Texas, a spokesman for Bush said he wore socks featuring a squadron of planes in recognition of his service as a pilot for the Navy during World War II.
The 41st President will be carried to his final rest wearing socks that pay tribute to his lifetime of service, starting as an 18 year-old naval aviator in war. That legacy is now being carried, in part, by the brave, selfless men and women aboard @CVN77_GHWB. #Remembering41 pic.twitter.com/OabtK756fO
