Compassion Center to Open in Hickory

Sept. 2, 2015 —The Lutheran Mission Society has opened a new Compassion Center in Hickory (Bel Air), MD at 2500 Conowingo Road, 21015. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The LMS Compassion Center will provide an outreach to surrounding communities by assisting folks in need with food, clothing and spiritual care (Saturdays at 10:15 a.m.), and also provide a thrift center for bargains as well as a donation center for the larger community.

Join us for the Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 10 a.m.

There will be door prizes every hour, light refreshments, and giveaways for the kids. In addition, all items will be half-off throughout the week (Sept. 19–26).

Please stop in when you’re in the area. Donations of clothing, furniture, housewares, etc., in good usable condition are always welcome, and tax receipts will be provided. Donations of nonperishable food items are always needed and appreciated. While you’re here, browse the thrift center—funds raised help defray the costs of operating the center. The Lutheran Mission Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
